FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I am travelling to Scotland soon! Can you recommend any must-visit places?
We got you covered with Karie's personal guide to knitterly Scotland.
I am travelling to Copenhagen, Denmark soon! Can you recommend any must-visit places?
The best place to ask for advice is the Copenhagen Knitters group on Ravelry - they are super-friendly and all speak/write excellent English.
I would love to take you out for coffee when you’re teach near me or when I’m visiting Glasgow.
It’s a lovely idea but not possible as Karie works to a tight schedule and is not available for individual appointments. We recommend keeping an eye on festival appearances as you may bump into her in one of the aisles or at a vendor’s stand.
I am interested in working with you on sponsored content. How can I reach you?
We do not do sponsored content.
If you have a knitting book, yarn or craft-related "something" that you think might interest Karie's readership, do get in touch but please understand that we carry a strict policy on what we review and write about. We need to fall in love with your product — and if we do, we will point out that we have received a review copy.
So, if you want to pitch us a sponsored post about vodka, mascara or lingerie, this is not the website you are looking for. Border Collie sheep-herding posters? Let's talk!
I am looking for an internship. Can you help me out?
Karie is not looking for interns at the moment, sorry.
I wrote you yesterday and I only received an auto-reply! How can I know if you got my email and when can I expect an answer?
Great news! if you got an auto-reply from us, you definitely got the right inbox!
Karie is at desk Tuesdays and Thursdays. Penny helps her out with emails and queries. We do get a lot of email, so please be patient if you don't hear back within a few days. We aim to answer most queries within a week, but sometimes it takes longer (depending upon the query and whether Karie is travelling). Both Karie and Penny are based in the UK and work to UK time. Occasionally it may take even longer — especially if it is not a time-sensitive question.
I asked you a question on social media but you didn't reply!
Please contact us using this contact form!
Unfortunately it is very easy for questions and queries to 'get lost' on social media.
Please compile all your queries into one message. This enables us to keep track of all the details and we can hopefully resolve it much quicker.
Remember to include the name of the pattern you are knitting and add as many details as you can. Thank you!
Can I ask you a question about knitting?
Karie is unable to answer any knitting queries unrelated to her own paid patterns.
