Storegga Shawl PDF Pattern

£5.00

Storegga is a crescent-shaped shawl knitted in a heavy laceweight on large needles to create drape and shape.

The shawl tells the story of fleeting beauty in a world which could change at any given moment. It features a small, delicate lace border where the opening-up of the lace is countered by sharp decreases. It is a push/pull movement that works to create an abrupt, yet beautiful motif. Just as you can begin to glimpse the formation of the motif, it is gone.

Storegga is part of the Doggerland: Knits from a Lost Landscape collection. Note the individual patterns do not contain essays.

Doggerland consists of 8 patterns and is a collection of accessories inspired by a submerged landscape between Scandinavia and the UK. The collection uses motifs commonly found on artefacts from the Middle Stone Age and seeks to take you on a journey through landscapes of your own.
