Here we go. I feel like I need a tour t-shirt for this summer! See you in Lancaster, Dublin, Stonie, Pittenweem, Faversham, Bath, or Birmingham? Phew!
This Woodcut is an epic WIP by @erickaeckles - it was such a joy to meet her at EYF. She told me to design more big shawls. Do you agree? What size shawls do you like wearing? Almost scarf-sized or almost blanket-sized?
Ever so slightly over-the-top tenement tiles. I know they are late Victorian, but their colours and sheer frothiness give me a throwback Roccoco vibe. The whole hallway (or, as we call it here in Glasgow, the close) was decked out with these tiles and it felt a bit overwhelming.
How I spent my weekend ❤
Working on a Friday night. I just filled up another sketch book and I'm so excited to start a new one. I have ideas brewing and I need to sketch them while they are still fresh in my mind. So much of my design work is storytelling, but nothing tells a story as effectively as a sketch! I am trying to keep my weekends free of work, but I'm just too excited about the ideas ❤
It is sunny in Glasgow. I am torn between topping up that sweet vitamin D & being mildly scared by this strange phenomenon. Do you like my finished Chard? It's going to get so much wear.
A yoked jumper? A shawl? A hat crown?
Visiting @queenofpurls new shop. God, I love how Zoe does colour - look at how the stained glass window picks up the yarn colours ❤
